Three years ago the Trust started on a challenging project to relocate Ekukhayeni Orphanage from its rural buildings to a new site closer to town. The new site is close to local amenities, has access to running water and electricity and is situated within a loving community. The new orphanage will be home to 36 vulnerable children who have lost their parents due to HIV, abuse or neglect. Over the past three years numerous clubs have carried out amazing fundraisers helping to raise funds. A generous grant from the Australian Embassy in Pretoria last year secured us enough money to finish the project. With the official opening of the new orphanage in December 2014, the Trust is extremely excited to see the family together and happy once again.
