Bath Uni students raise £1000 for orphanage fund

Trustee Emily rallied support from over 150 fellow students at the University of Bath for a sponsored sporting event that attempted to cover the distance of London to South Africa. For 24 non-stop hours, the University campus was taken over by students embarking on physical challenges including 5k and marathon runs, 10k swims, 30k bike rides and full iron man distance triathlons.

A full 24 hours later after kick-off, runners, cyclists and swimmers emerged from the challenge tired and sunburnt, having covered an impressive 17,837.47 between them. Not quite the distance to South Africa, but close enough to result in a total of £1,000 in donations towards the Zoe Trust Orphanage Project.

Thanks to everyone who took part including Students Union Officers, Students Union Sports Staff, Sports Training Village, SITEC, Total fitness Bath, DB max and Nuun.
